These pictures were taken by Kingstone Mapupu a journalist with Kwaedza Newspapers.The team had gone with Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority senior ranger Ranganai Musarurwa (in uniform), who had gone on a Problem Animal Control,(PAC). A report was received that a python had swallowed a pig at a farm. The python together with the pig weighed 85 kilogrammes and was 4metres long.

 

Last year the Authority rescued  over 90 python from in and around Harare and these were taken to Chivero and Darwendale Recreational Parks respectively. It is the biggest that the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority has captured to date.
