The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority has since killed two adult tusk less elephants following the death of a man in his mid forties on the 3rd of May 2012 in Chibanda Village under chief Dotito who was coming from Chakoma business centre in the evening.

The elephants 19 in number are suspected to be coming from Mozambique. The Authority which has dispatched total of 10 rangers is working effortlessly to drive the herd out of the communities. Investigations have revealed that the 19 herd of elephant have since split into three groups with the two groups having been driven to Mavuradona wilderness area. The Authority has since advised the traditional leadership, the RDC and schools to avoid travelling at night and not to provoke the herd once they catch sight of them.
